Professional information

  • Developed “CompGR” to compute Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR)
  • Agroclimatic zone wise CAGR for the arhar and chickpea growing district of UP has been calculated for both area and yield.
  • District-wise growth rates of lentil, chickpea, black gram, and green gram were also computed for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.
  • Completed a genome-wide search for detection of antimicrobial proteins such as alpha/beta thionins, hevein-like peptides (Chitin Binding Domain), glycine-rich peptides, snakins, gamma thionin, lipid transfer protein-1, and lipid transfer protein-2 in the 8 legumes (chickpea, pigeonpea, mungbean, blackgram, common bean, field pea, cowpea and lathyrus).

Current areas of research:

  • Development of prediction tool for antimicrobial protein in pulses
  • Price forecasting using advanced machine learning tools
